Esther Margulies, board member since 2006 is a founding partner of Mia Lehrer + Associates Landscape Architecture. She is a graduate of Cornell University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. As a managing partner and project lead on many of the firms largest and most complex projects she is responsible for project management and collaboration on projects ranging from park master plans to corporate campus enhancement projects. She is frequently involved in campus and education planning and design projects and brings this knowledge to the Adat Shalom campus. She has lectured at USC in the Department of Architecture and serves regularly as a design critic at USC, UCLA and Cal Poly Pomona. She and her husband Richard Destin have been members of Adat Shalom since 1999. Their two children, Josiah and Lilia are Adat Shalom ECC graduates and are currently students in the Religious School.
