1945 - Ten families join together to form the West LA Synagogue Center.
By the end of its second year, services had moved to a rented
storefront
at 2351 Westwood Blvd., and a down payment had
been made on a vacant lot at 2610 Overland.
1949 - Services
first held under a tent on
land donated by Hillcrest Country Club.

1954 - Land was purchased at 3030 Westwood Blvd., the current synagogue location, and
by 1960, Hebrew School facilities had been built and ground broken for the sanctuary.
1963 - The new sanctuary was dedicated,
and the synagogue took on a new name - Adat Shalom.
1979 - Additional adjacent properties were acquired to enable construction
of the Early Childhood Center.
1991 - Ground was broken for the expanded and current sanctuary.
2007 - Temple Beth Torah
and Adat Shalom elected to join congregations
